Its ok. You dont have to agree with the truth. I didn’t expect you would. 😄 The comment isn’t to convince you. Its about you.

A government isn’t a monolith. Nor are its people. I wager the people making this decision dont buy weapons at all. Its silly to act like the Netherlands are 1 person that you can call a hypocrite. So silly it borders on propaganda.
Or you just still own your old car because it runs. Its not a rich people thing just because the guy in the article is rich. When I stumble upon classic car shows, the vibe is “long term project cars” and not “affluent collectors”.
My father in law maintains a Triumph Race car with the machine shop in his garage. It’ll never legitimately pass smog, but its also driven once or twice a month and he’s owned it for like 50+ years.
Early on in a car’s life its isn’t yearly, but at one point in my last car’s 20 year life it became yearly and never went back. I think its age related.
Its the language set for your client UI I wager.
Yeah. I think my car has a pretty decent build overall but the (I shit you not) 14 recalls ive had to bring it in for ranging from door handle replacements, firmware updates, back hatch issues makes me raise an eyebrow to it. I let a few stack up before I bring it in because I never notice any issue before or after, but better to get the free service than not.
Evidence strongly counters my own feelings on the matter.
Sounds like a good reason to skip buying any car warranty going forward since I’ll be attempting to void that shit almost immediately.
Bad business decisions all around.
The news/Lemmy really makes it sound like more. I wonder how many have successfully fled.
I’d be curious to know how much of the 2022 population still exists in Gaza today.
I think they should be taken down or taken over by another entity. They were launched under the premise they were a utility and it turns out they’re being used military.
I dont mean the internet access itself but the giving and striping of access to suit a military agenda goes beyond the pervue of an organization claiming to be an ISP or commercial utility.
Easy enough to do!
Build a camp with free high quality food and Healthcare. Safe homes for families to live in for free. A mission statement focused on a K-Masters education and continued education with community workshops, gardens, and kitchens to further develope core life skills.
Then let people come and go as they please.
Perfect concentration camp achieved.
Dear God, I agree so much. I’m so tired of that era. I really think I would love to see the immediate aftermath of Voyager’s return along with the scientific advances and knowledge they gathered along the way. They were first contact for dozens of worlds. Picard showed us that the Romulan Empire collapsed (which is huge!) and there was a widespread implementation of androids (made no sense) and widespread use of holographic crew (made perfect sense).
I would have loved to see us get there in a relatively slow pace like DS9 did with the War against the dominion. Even that still deserves a little more exposure which would be in the same time period. I can imagine people still being paranoid about shapeshifters for years after.
I was gonna say that it would only be unfortunate due to giving them a reason to attack Iran, but history has shown us that doesn’t matter. We’ll do that regardless. If we dont have a reason we’ve been happy to just make one up.
At this point its really just a matter of not wanting to actually fight America on the battlefield.
I’ve seen a bunch of his shorts and its obscene the things builders skip and then get furious about being called out on.
I wrote my congresswoman and told her she lost my vote over this.
He and his friends should do something about that.
Teaching children how to make weapons is the recipe for revolution. Its not instant, but its something i would think twice about as an autocrat. Its like training a bunch of Unibombers.
They were invaded by 1 of the 2 nations that agreed to protect them if they disarmed. The US did not uphold its obligations 3 times in a row through multiple administration’s. The latest conflict in Ukraine is a result of actions taken by the USA, followed by inaction on our part.
If we didn’t request their disarmament, lie about protecting them, it would be a very different landscape there right now.
It isn’t solely the fault of the US, but we are major contributors.
You keep writing like they have them and thats why they are being attacked. Its specifically because they dont yet have them that they are being attacked. If they already had them like North Korea, their situation would be more similar. I doubt people would be bombing them, in the same way people aren’t bombing North Korea despite it acting very hostile and making direct threats.
North Korea has nukes and it never gets invaded and gets aid sent to it. Iran doesn’t have nukes and it is regularly attacked.
I’d say their presence adds very clear value to the example country that actually has them.
Yeah and again, the people responsible for deciding if they are attending Eurovision aren’t responsible for any of that. They arent 1 people. The relevance of their defense spending vs their attendance to a music competition is nada. I’d rather there being mild hypocrisy vs 100% complicity.
