I feel ya, I am still trying to figure out what an ActivityPub is.
its a protocol. think of it like a contract. when you create software lemmy, piefed, etc you need to follow the same Tmessaging contract as others.
An activitypub is a pub you go to for activities. It’s fairly self-explanatory.
It was all so confusing in the beginning, now it is just confusing sometimes inbetween!
A quick look at the sidebar and hovering over, one of the moderators of this community appears to be a lemmy.world admin if that’s what you mean.
Considering how big lemmy.world is, I’d guess it’s more a bit of overlap than it being the same people.
