I also like how the Islamic terrorists are “legacy” as if there’s nothing going on right now that could be generating a whole new generation of Anti-American terrorists. It’s only some old guys who still hate us for our 2000’s freedom.

If it makes you feel any better, AI is great at pattern recognition and will be able to cross-link &/or deanonymize any user that has posted even a relatively small amount of text.

Humans have a very limited and specific vocabulary (stylometry) even without regionalisms. Just don’t believe anything you say online will stay anonymous, because it won’t… Unless you use a local AI to process everything you write with a different persona (e.g. pirate, yarr).

            Here’s a general primer https://programminghistorian.org/en/lessons/introduction-to-stylometry-with-python

It’s ultimately just statistics, and AI is far better than humans at finding patterns in massive data sets. They are perfectly suited to stylometry. The more text they have of a given user, the higher the probability of cross-referencing against identified users (Facebook, Twitter, etc).

Even if you never post publicly, the problem is western governments have been engaging in dragnet mass surveillance for decades, which means the US gov — probably many govs, especially your own — almost certainly have every text message, email, etc you’ve ever written; all are transmitted unencrypted. This means the US, and likely your own gov, have the highest probability of deanon-ing you. They also have the highest budgets ace access to perform such a task.

Again, it’s only a matter of time until 99% of “anonymous” accounts, above a certain word count, are cross-referenced; likely only a few thousand words. I suspect they could already do 99% of accounts above 10 or 20k words.

Then you don’t understand how mentally ill and authoritarian the surveillance state, or fascists, are…

They already have dragnet data capture going back decades. Hundreds of billions spent on data centers. The process can be entirely automated, and will be, soon if not already.

You underestimate the power of the internet. If ordinary people found out that TOR is no longer safe they will flock to another darknet.

While this is just the next phase of fascism we all expected, and as incompetent as the FBI has become, no one should doubt that this is a dangerous escalation. I haven’t been able to fly for almost 20yrs because of “alleged” ties to ALF/ELF during the terror panic that birthed Homeland Security post-9/11. That was when the modern surveillance state was just getting rolling.

Hey, he got the Georgia ballots, so I’m fairly sure the next step is to “find” 11,780 that were never counted and declare himself the true winner of 2020.

Ergo he would’ve been elected for a third-consecutive term in 2024, so he should be ineligible and everything he’s done since null-and-void? I guess? I dunno where they are going with this except to write the history books in their favor.

What’s so disturbing to me is that all the conspiracy theory nutballs I’ve known, the ones who…

      • are hardcore preppers who said the economy was due to collapse into a post-apocalyptic dystopia anytime a Dem is in the white house

      • kept talking about the FEMA death camps at former railway hubs with barbed wire fences pointing inwards

      • think black helicopters are running urban pacification drills in cities

      • keep being up giant fields being leased by the govt to store nothing but thousands of plastic coffins

      • never shut up about “jackboot” “police states” during the entirety of Obama and Biden terms

They were all either hardcore right-wingers or simple “never trust the govt” types who suddenly started wearing maga hats

They are not necessarily against those things in principle, even within their own country. They just don’t want to be the targets of it. Probably some, whether they are being honest with themselves for the reason or not, are wrapping themselves in MAGA for safety, then convincing themselves it’s the Good Side by accepting the propaganda.

Which is neither to excuse any other group for accepting propaganda nor to assert Both Sides in any way.

I am Antifa. Antifa means Anti Fascist … so yea, if MAGAs “hated enemy” is an antifascist movement then they have basically just classified themselves.

I really hate how media gladly reused this label.

Antifa, pronounced ant-tea-fuh, allowed it to be disconnected from the actual words it was shortened from, and then used as a boogieman.

We all know there is no central antifa command center, headquarters, or organization. We are “antifa” because we are anti fascism.

As you say, you can label yourself, but you can also label yourself by your enemies.

      The anti-fascists are Trump’s enemies, therefore…

It is not just MAGA literally the whole world is fascist. This is why Antifacists are so hated amongst leaders of the world.

Did you forgot about the World Trade protests? Antifacists are at odds with the entire business world AKA big money. The leaders of the world cannot let this movement catch on.

“Politics is war without bloodshed, while war is politics with bloodshed.”

-misattributed to Mao, but it makes the point

For the sake of history, its worth noting that it wasn’t the left taking the non-violent options off the table. Just saying. When you see this happen, consider it in the context of something like the war in Iran. When the administration does things like this, they do so without a plan and without consideration for the consequences.

If you haven’t already, I would start talking to your neighbors and organizing.

We already know the camps exist, and if you’ve seen some of the images that have been leaked you’ll know the conditions are inhumane and cruel. These new labels can be applied to anyone, for any reason. And make no mistake, you don’t even have to be in left-wing spaces to be accused and disappeared. So it’s not just you in danger, it’s everybody around you. It’s your co-workers, your family, your friends. All it takes is a wrong place, wrong time.

Organize now, before you don’t have that option anymore.

The political shootings were done by Republicans. So, clearly people against fascism are labeled terrorists. That’s pure logic.
