Yeah, my linux experience usually seems like its hanging on a thin thread at all times. If stuff is actually working, im super grateful and hope it doesn’t break itself on the next reboot.
Im not sure why everyone else seems to have a perfect error free experience except for me xD or they are just lying. And I dont use Intel or Nvidia so I should have it easy!

Like any phone, even a landline? I should have referred more to smartphones i guess. But still, the only reason we “need” them is corporate greed driven. No one needs more than a landlines or a jitterbug at most.
This doesn’t sound like the hardest thing to write a program for especially if you have the gibbity help you write it and quadruple check its output.

I do use duplicati for my desktop and its great.
This is more and issue of having matching, linux, and 1 windows (soon to be linux) pc. So mixing and matching is hard. I have 1 nas for movies and music and my other nas is for music production backup. That one auto backs up from my Mac.
So then, every few months I copy that nas onto another drive and put it in the safe. I guess I want a better way to do that other than plugging the drive into the nas and manually copying everytbing over.
Find better websites. Use kagi.
If i didn’t have someone now id probably go to music shows, thats a good place to meet like minded people. Otherwise see if your local library puts on events.
Or maybe sign up for a community college if you can afford and learn something at the same time. Who knows.

Do you even live in the US and have you SEEN how fucking HUGE vehicles driven by the average person are now??? There aren’t even CARS around hardly anymore. They’re massive trucks, suvs, or crossovers. Ford doesnt sell cars in the US anymore because of this (except the mustang). You can barely buy a wagon in the US now. Vehicles are FAR bigger and heavier than they were in the early days. Your photo depicts mostly tri five chevys which are not even large cars. Now yes caddy’s have always been huge but that’s their brand.
Meanwhile I made a post asking if plex is bad now and most people on it said “no it’s great I paid for my lifetime pass years ago and its been the best!” Yeah, we know the truth now.

While true, desktops and laptops mean nothing now. Most people dont even have anything other than a phone.
If youre using android or ios, youre not private and you are being tracked 24/7.
Sadly my s23 only runs android and Linux phones aren’t good enough yet.
