Notice how almost every study in this thread has already been done numerous times.

The Cons just say they’re wrong and the media claims that they have to represent ”both sides“ so the general public gets lead to believe the studies are also just opinions.

I mean, they host mods and have a mod manager. If you’ll call that a „Nexus“, then sure. I personally find it better than Nexus because you can do pretty much everything from within their mod manager (including editing config files) and they don’t lock anything behind a premium subscription, but they don’t support any AAA games.

As a German:

• English mandatory from the beginning
• Mandatory choice between Latin and French in 6th grade, Latin possible until 10th/11th grade (EF) and French possible until graduation
• Russian and Spanish possible from EF until graduation
• Korean and Japanese offered as extracurricular activities (Korean was taught by the parent of a student and stopped when said student graduated, Japanese was offered by a teacher who was a weeb so we mostly just watched anime (I think the only thing we actually learned was how to introduce ourselves), but it only started being offered 6 months before Covid shut everything down, don’t know if she continued offering it afterwards)

This just seems like it would cause even more body dysphoria than these beauty contests already do. How is this different than just allowing fucking Photoshop? Just creates even more unrealistic body standards

I’m new to this as well, I just chose this instance to switch to (also from lemm.ee) because I’m queer and knew this instance did a good job keeping out assholes.

In general I think most instances on here are leftist or at least left-leaning. The general recommendation for lemm.ee users is currently lemmy.zip, if you want a dedicated political instance I only know of the anarchist lemmy.dbzer0.com (though they are too defensive of genAI for my taste) and the European Federalist feddit.org.

This thread has more recommendations by a more experienced user

That is what he said, but this is the only instance of it actually happening. The missile tests that do regularly happen are into the Eastern Sea, which is also know as the Sea of Japan, which may cause his confusion

Here‘s the incident they were talking about. It wasn’t fired at Japan, but looking at the place it landed in, it had to have crossed either Japanese or Russian territory on its path, which is negligent at best or a direct provocation at worst.
