Literally anything you focus on will be amazing when you’re on good lsd. Any tv show or cartoon (news, movie, sport, adverts, whatever) will be entrancing and you’ll interpret things visually in crazy ways.

I spent an hour or two staring at a pattern in a rug and listening to my dog breathe beside me once, or watching an ice cube melt on a table, or colouring in my hand with felt tip pen.

It is a phone. They’re just getting shitty phones and golding them up, but they do exist. I’m sure some guy bought one of the early incarnations and took it apart to show how shit it was. Now they use a different cheap phone.

It entirely depends. Old is good when it comes to some things, and new is good for others.

You probably shouldn’t use your 20 year old hot water bottle, for example, even if it’s worked for 20 years. Your old boiler might be working, but it’s on borrowed time with each passing year. You don’t need a new phone, but it might do things better than your old one that you specifically like or need. That old chainsaw you’ve been holding onto might well just give up the ghost dramatically some time.

Something working doesn’t mean it’s working optimally. It’s ok to want a better thing, or a safer thing, or a thing more suited to you, or even a new thing for the sake of it.

Never seen any of this stuff. Not even once.

I can confirm I can do the other things but can’t do some form of coding or at least navigate a directory through the command line.

Strangely in work I’m the ‘computer guy’ as I can navigate Microsoft office.
