If anything is to blame it would be the Skydance merger. I will never pretend to understand “hollywood math” but apparently axeing all of your projects just before being purchased somehow makes you a more attractive purchase?

Edit: also they had to pay off their bribe to daddy orange face

I’m more suspicious that the old owners canceled all their animation so as to no be in conflict with Skydance’s animation studio which is top quality.

Yeah, I know. Its just frustrating. After Ent we went a long time without any Trek TV shows and then we got Discovery. Although it wasn’t perfect it scratched an itch for a lot of people. Then we got a lot of shows. We were told that there was going to be Star Trek all year long, and that there would always be a show airing all year long. Now it seems that every current show is coming to an end or already ended and we’re left with a lot of unknowns. A young adult college Trek and maybe a non Starfleet workplace comedy (as well as the last 2 seasons of SNW I guess too).

I’m honestly going in hopeful. I wasn’t sure about Lower Decks when it came out and now its one of my favourite shows. I really hope it does turn out good.
