Those who think cars are mandatory underestimate the ingenuity of people.
Cars aren’t mandatory, but there certainly are situation where cars are the only solution. Like, I’m not riding my bike through the bad part of town to get to my nightshift. I tried, but my colleagues got angry at me for doing so.
The idea of “bad part” of town is so foreign to me. Around here the part of town you avoid cycling through, is the part with too many hills, or a bad bike lane…
You must live in a pretty rich country then. Bad parts of towns are not uncommon. Now, to be that bad that I wouldn’t cycle through them, that’s pretty bad. But when I lived in Berlin there were definitely areas where I wouldn’t park my bike without worry.
As a dutchie, I’ve never really thought about it lol, it’s so normal to do it this way aha
I’ve done this but have to admit this isn’t really safe for the driver nor for the people around.
living the dream
Can confirm. I once took a Christmas tree complete with decoration from a company party home on my bike. Most of the decoration stayed intact!
Looting the office is also a nice tradition
The audio is missing where every single cyclist keeps repeating “this will work this will work this will work”.
