Netanyahu recently acknowledged the role of #SocialMedia influencers in shaping perceptions of #Israel abroad.

Documents filed under the #US Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) reveal that influencers promoting pro-Israel content are receiving payments from $6,143 to $7,372 per post on platforms like #TikTok & #Instagram.
Bridge Partners, charged Havas Media Group #Germany $900,000 for an “Influencer Campaign” spanning June to November

      You’ve got it flipped. He’s not blaming them, he’s admitting to funding “grass roots” propaganda that is favorable to him.

    Impossible, bots aim for quantity not quality, imagine the cost of paying $7.000 per post, it’s probably around $0.10 for the highest quality, and below $0.01 for the lowest(, depending on the social platforms), and i’d say that it’s too obvious to point out if people weren’t repeating this these last days(, but w/e)

        I’m only paid twice the minimum salary, but even if i passed the initial military selection i’m too afraid of the consequences if i’m denouncing Israel ☹️
        Do you really believe that they’re paid $7.000 per post(, with the “7”) ? That’s at least $70.000 per day, you could gain multiple millions in a year.
        $900.000 would only be 128 posts spanned across the millions of posts of TikTok and Instagram over 6 months(, from June to November).

        They’re also buying likes, e.g. on reddit, in order to put the posts they want in a good initial position as soon as they’re posted, but no doubt that it’s more complex. In any case they’re undoubtedly using social medias like every other tool available to them in order to achieve their goals, i have no doubts about that.

          You’re misunderstanding the nature of the posts. These aren’t low-value anonymous Reddit posts getting paid this much. This is videos on TikTok and other platforms where the poster already has a very large audience. They post the video as themselves, but with specific messaging they’re paid to promote to their audience.

          This post doesn’t have any details or explanation or sources, so I understand that you weren’t able to investigate the claim. There’s a photo Netanyahu took with some influencers that are part of the program.

          Perhaps you recognise some. The only person I recognise there has a minor audience and would never be paid that much for an ad-read. But of course others might have very large audiences and are routinely paid just as much to promote products.

          Here’s an article that goes into more details on this story. =) https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/-israel--pays-influencers--7k-per-post-to-whitewash-gaza-gen

            Hi,
            Lemmygrad seems to be down, so i’m answering you with my alt.
            I’ve only upvoted your comment with two accounts, but it’d deserve that i use my other alts as well, thanks a million times for taking the time to correct me, now i feel ashamed that i never took the time to document myself before posting my comment.
            I’ve read about that a few times by people who presented it as astroturfing(, from what i’ve quickly read), and it didn’t cross my mind that it could be something else, in that case some kind of ~one-time sponsorship to selected influencers.
            Now the attention it got makes more sense, i should have realized it myself, thanks again frankly !!

            (I wonder how many things that appear even more nonsensical simply come from my miscomprehension, would be nice. I’ll keep the comment above but next time i’ll take a few minutes to read what it’s about before posting)

              No problem, happy to help.

              one-time sponsorship to selected influencers

              It is only for selected influencers, but the people in the program are supposed to post multiple times and claim similar payments every time. Many people are getting rich off this genocide.

          @sousmerde_rtrdataire

          again, I am sure you have a much better understanding on how much these influences get paid based on your personal income level.

          seriously, are all accounts on lemmy such annoying assholes?

            So you do believe that they paid $900.000 for only 128 posts, i thought it was so obviously bullshit that you’d agree with me, and did you see my edit ?
            Sorry for contradicting you, and thanks for producing so much content for Lemmy 👍

      @Fancy_Gecko

      An old Chinese saying “You can win by the sword, but you can not sit and rule by it”.

      It doesn’t matter how much Israel spends and kills, the seeds of hate they are spreading will grow into new fighters and even more brutal warriors picking up the fight to revenge their loved ones.

      Only a just peace can end this endless circle of violence.
