My wife does spins whenever she’s wearing a dress that will float out. I probably would too if I fit in such a dress.

I feel like dresses are probably the most forgiving piece of clothing fit-wise.

It’s fun to watch my kid attempt a cartwheel, he turns about 1 radian and then folds onto the floor. He’ll get it right one of these days, but I think I like this part better

In my country a woman suspected of murder did a cartwheel while waiting to be interrogated and the police basically took that as an admission of guilt

I recently used this as an example of how mass surveillance escalates suspicion. If you drive home from work the same way for months and then change your route, that can be grounds for suspicion and investigation. Nevermind, you just charted a better path home.

And as law enforcement works in the US, post PATRIOT act, if you can be investigated under general suspicion, rather than for a specific crime. And you will be charged for any crimes discovered. And if you are in sight of the police (e.g. in an ALPR database) then every possible set of behaviors and conditions are suspicious.

Read this, quite literally did a cartwheel in an act of whimsy and solidarity against the encroaching darkness before responding.

(It was actually kind of fun and my back only hurts a tiny bit. One handed cartwheels used to be the preferred move, but fuck no).

I had a co-worker in her early 30s, who was a former gymnast, and also coached gymnastics. She’d not only occasionally knock out a few cartwheels in the hallway, but she could also still do aerials.
