Why the fuck are all far right parties against green initiatives? They spout about their motherland and claim to value it, but are more than willing to destroy the very thing under their fucking feet.
I know they’re dumber than rocks, but still.
AfD follow orders from Moscow, and one of their priorities is to restore Germany’s energy dependence on Russian oil and gas.
Far rights are ideologically driven and basically just want to destroy the country they‘re campaigning in to profit from the chaos. Which is why it‘s best to make them illegal to protect democracy and society. Because democracy has this odd quirk of being able to abolish itself but it can‘t just reincarnate the same way once it‘s gone. You need special mechanisms to protect people from enslaving themselves.
Short answer, they’re agents of oil, coal, and gas industries, often backed by totalitarian regimes such as that of Russia. Part of their hybrid warfare.

The far right is easy to buy, and oil companies have a surplus of money and a shortage of ethics.
More of a reason to add more restrictions on ICE and to use your car as little to none as possible. And to use a bike instead.

DW is not innocent with their headlines, they too make the polical landscape worse.
In the first sentenceof the article that the majority on fediverse and reddit dont read is this:

So the AFD (im not german) isnt 100% against green energy which Nuclearpower is.
Nuclear power isn’t green energy; you may support that political-driven opinion, but if you inform yourself you will quickly find out that by all parameters (CO2 across the entire chain) it definitely isn’t green or CO2 neutral. it also won’t stop climate change, as Germany would need a dozen reactors, and executing such a project in Germany easily takes 20 years (Germany is famous for its bureaucracy), by far too late to rescue the world from disaster. on top of that, please read the party program of the AfD (which I have done); their approach to climate change is 19th century at best - I won’t go into details of their blatant racism and Voelkische right extremist ideas - large parts of this party leadership (Eg Höcke) want to introduce a Putin- or Hitler-like fascist state in Germany.
