The whole stormfront being his beloved totally erases half of season 3’s story. What reasoning is there to erase Soldier Boys thing with Crimson Countess? So they could have some weird psuedo incest thing? It doesn’t make sense at all. And his reaction to it is the grossest thing the show has done so far. This season sucks ass and it’s entirely due to shit writing and poor decision making by those in charge.

Because Eric forgot what made his shows great. Now he just using this season to push that goddamn stupid prequel no one asked for our needs. Fuck him not going watch it no matter what. Out of fucking spite for ruining the last season of The Boys.

Yeah, so much of this season has been setting that up. And it honestly pisses me off that they acted like Gen V mattered and I watched a 2 season show with no reward. Also that finale better be 2 hrs, or there’s no way they can fix this.

Yeah my son has not seen Gen V, and has no issues or even notices anything he missed. Also makes me feel as that show was wasted.

You can be involved with multitude people romantically ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Especially if those people are all in show business

          I don’t think it’s outlandish.

The episode was about the loneliness and isolation of the V1 heroes with their immortality, and Crimson Countess was not a V1 recipient, but Liberty was.

That Soldier Boy would realize (or delude himself about) the depth of his feelings after she had died tracks for me. He thought that no matter what he’d always have Liberty to go back to.

          spoiler

Plus he just killed his brother in the last episode. The man was emotionally compromised

That big of a misogynist? Really? I don’t buy it. And for a guy he loathes to his core? Nah, it doesn’t make any sense at all.

A misogynist only appreciating a woman after she’s gone is very buyable.

Homelander is his son, and Soldier Boy just executed the only other family member he had. He’s staring down an eternity alone.

Oh…he made many. Supernatural was the best. Revolution was good but NBC canceled it before he could realize the vision. (Takes him 5 season normally to tie up a good story)

And then Timeless which just wasn’t very good at all.

don’t know why they didn’t just follow the comics. Say what you will about The Boys comics but there’s one surprise in there that I think they could have pulled off really well but they botched that by having like 3 different versions of that character.

I was so upset when they revealed his character in the show. It was one of the more interesting twists in the comics and really turned the story on its side (in a good way).

A change that recontextualizes so much of the story without actually breaking any of the narrative is pretty good writing in my book.

I’d like to invoke the “it was written by chatgpt” theory that we unfortunately have to posit for every new season of an existing show

Cool. Haven’t seen finale yet. Will check it out this weekend.

I guess they don’t care as much as show wraps up and if there is no money and no renewal - hence there is no care

I stopped watching after season 3. It wasn’t terrible but there was too much plot armor for the non supers (why didn’t Stormfront vaporize them at the end of season 2 when she easily could have and had every motivation to do so?) and characters kept changing sides back and forth within the span of an episode or two.

It just stopped being believable and I liked the first season because it felt grounded in reality despite the super hero aspect.
