Something basic like the Mass Effect series helps sell the idea that you really did form a fully fledged relationship over the course of the game. As for Cyberpunk, the setting is literally designed to be dripping with sexuality. It’s not necessary for the story itself, but if you removed all the sex ads the setting simply wouldn’t reach the same level of “megacorporations maximizing psychological exploitation techniques”.

Banning it/them simultaneously goes too far and not far enough. Instead, explicitly legalize self-defense against anyone that fails or refuses to identify and validate their identity while performing official activities. Turn hiding your face and badge number into literal suicide.

When you’re being assaulted and have no way of knowing whether they’re going to kill you for being trans (something you know happens with alarming frequency), why would you show remorse for defending yourself against a violent, “pure evil” bigot?

In a world where cis men have been deemed not guilty for murdering trans people just because they couldn’t tell until they got to the sex, there is no way I’d hold a trans person guilty of murder for defending themselves from an ongoing assault that very well could have escalated to a murder against her.
