I’m so mentally disordered that I’m not even pictured on the graph…
Prime_E and Southpaw Candybar 4 lyf. I’m not even that deep in the water compared to some.

Agree with you. All speeding cameras where I live are on rural highways (110km/h zones), and usually at the bottom of a big hill.

In Australia, you can nominate someone else who was driving the vehicle after you receive ticket. But the ticket always goes to the person whose name is under the car registration.

What if I do have an Nvidia card? I’ve been to and fro on switching for such a long time. I have so much random shit on my PC that it’s making the overhead to leave daunting.

It’s been decades of US-centric media, political commentary, and general cultural dominance/presence in our lives in most English speaking countries whether we liked it or not.
I kind of read this as the elastic band snapping back, we’ve had to hear so much about the US for long, this is almost cathartic. And it’s not people on the fediverse who are responsible, unfortunately you’re probably the most empathetic group in a social media platform at all. You just happen to be here. With a lot of cynical, anti establishment nerds who have a space to vent.

Great for when you need to cry, though.

Beloved is a strong word. Tolerated maybe.
I grew up skateboarding and taking the trams to get around my city. Many of my friends did not, and were driven everywhere. For them, once they were able to get a car and their license, being an adult and synonymous with driving yourself places - because that’s what they always experienced.
There are so many benefits to public transit and green spaces, but most people have never experienced them and can’t fathom why anyone would want to let go of their individual mobility and sense of adulthood. Which sucks.
