God, I remember when this was a super-secret technology, where you had to book a plane to the (recently, at the time) former USSR to get a look at some highly experimental machines that were producing itty bitty little yellow diamonds via some bizarre anoxic chemical vapor process. I read about it in some indie magazine 25 to 30 years ago I think?

Even back then DeBeers was peeing its pants over the possibility that law-grown diamonds not only existed, but were nearly impossible to distinguish from mined diamonds by sight alone. I’m so happy to see them finally get what’s been coming to them.

Meanwhile in indie land, I just tried to cheat my way through a Chapter 3 minigame in Deltarune, and Toby Fox himself showed up in his dogsona to blow up the game and make me start the minigame over.

This is the extent to which anti-cheat measures should go.

Hawkeye was at least kinda neat as a superhero take on a Christmas movie / series. And the in-universe Rogers: The Musical was a pretty good gag.

I’m not saying it’s ABSOLUTE CINEMA

… but it was a nice, low-stakes miniseries for Christmas during COVID.

I caught my kids to throw light switch raves, but they don’t know the context. It’s spread to their friends, also context-less.

But really, I don’t think anything can top that one email where Compy gets Old Yellered.
