I’ve always taken it to imply that at a certain number of differences, the comparison isn’t useful anymore, not that there are no avenues of comparison at all.

I’m of the same opinion that AI won’t be able to adequately replace many jobs, but only in the long term. In the short term I think it’s going to be a bit of a bloodbath with a lot of companies drinking the kool aid until they realize it’s not working.
I second this. I discovered it right before it got insanely expensive and only made it like a couple times.
I’d say it’s quite good overall. I don’t want to spoil it too much but I’ve mostly enjoyed it. It’s very heavy on fantasy politics and drama, so if you don’t enjoy that, this one won’t be for you, but if you love that stuff like me it’s quite a treat.
It’s a nice sentiment, but seems a bit easy for a successful actor to say. For a struggling one they may not have such a luxury.
The changes were honestly just weird. I usually can understand changes to source material from book to screen because you have to condense somewhere, but it felt like they just threw out all of it and made their own story instead but with a few beats still disconcertingly present. It was high budget fan fiction (or I guess anti-fan fiction based on what you said!)
This is kind of an apathy echo chamber tbh (not just here, other socials too). Out in the real world lots of people are trying very hard to improve things all around the globe. If you’re feeling depressed by perceived apathy I would encourage you to look into organizations working to make a difference. They’re out there and need your help.
They had already lost me in the second season so glad to hear I got out at the right time 😅
You’re not wrong, but I’d still encourage everyone to celebrate the small victories. If we wait for perfection it may never come.
Glad to see someone mentioning this. I see a disturbing number of people on here saying nothing is happening and it’s not true at all. Many, many people are angry, doing things, and more are getting involved with each new horrible thing that happens. It takes time for movements to reach critical mass. Especially in a country this big as you point out.
It’s also critical to understand that he isn’t supposed to have the ability to do all these things. He’s ignoring law and due process completely at this point, but his party controls all three pillars of government and no one is stopping him at the governmental level.
To be honest, though, the main thing the past decade has revealed is that our government’s supposedly robust set of checks and balances collapse completely as soon as people just stop being honorable and following the rules voluntarily. It’s a paper thin system it turns out.
