I definitely felt the connection with Murderbot, but it wasn’t until the end of the final episode that I was finally connecting with Gurathin. I think the short episodes make it a little challenging to connect after only 10.

The tropes in the Sanctuary Moon episodes really do have me laughing. 😁💜

I thought episode nine was the last! I was satisfied with the episode knowing the show was cancelled. And then I was treated with one more today!

I’m going to miss Harry Vanderspeigle so much. Alan is such a fun actor. I wish he had more time in this role, but I’m grateful for the time we had.

I know the focus on love and kindness might be cheesy to some, but I really really appreciated how it ended. We need it so bad. This whole world needs it so bad.

There are days where I think aliens like this would be doing us a favor. Then I remember what I saw in episodes like this.

Humans are capable of so much. I’ll continue to hold hope.

If I’m being honest, had I not read the book series, I probably would have stopped watching the TV show after a few episodes. It’s the most expensive cheesy quality tv show made. It’s as if day time soap operas and B cinema had a baby. 🤣

As for the books, Jordan definitely borrows Tolkien themes early on. Things diverge pretty quickly as characters develop though. Jordan was an incredible world and character builder. So incredible that people wondered if he could ever finish the series. Haha. 😬

I totally get that. But when I say ‘end,’ I’m not talking about the story but the series.

I invested time into the show and I know that the decision to cancel it wasn’t the fault of the actors or storytellers. I mean, it had the best ratings yet for s3.

One reason I’m glad I watched it was because they touched on lore elements that were so mysterious in the books. I always wondered what those things might be like and season 3 was able to show some of that with the time skipping sequences. Now I also have a representation of what an Eelfinn might look and act like. Would have been nice if the sequence were actually a whole episode though.

Anyway, no worries. I totally get it. 💜

They certainly did transform a lot about the book series. Expected for any TV adaptation, but sometimes pretty awful in this case. I would have seen it through regardless though. I guess I’ve been that hungry for it. Perhaps within the next couple of decades someone will try again and do a better job. 💜

Of course they changed things. It’s 15 books. Too much source material. It would be impossible to televise the whole story.

With that said though, I’d agree that some of the changes weren’t warranted. They could have condensed and retold things without some of the oddities they introduced. For instance, Perrin having a wife and killing her the way that he did really bugged. Plenty of things I didn’t like.

Fans have been wanting to see something on the screen for decades and this was the best attempt yet. I would have loved to see it through, warts and all.

Yikes. If I didn’t watch a show because it was canceled, I wouldn’t be watching much of anything these days… ugh.

I was going to watch Resident Alien season 4 next and found out today that it was canceled also. Still going to watch it though. Alan Tudyk is a gem.

Just a personality thing I guess. I like to see things through to the end. And… for all its warts… season 3 loosed a number of wonderful gems. Even if it all ended here.

She was absolutely incredible. Truly.

These days, people video tape everything. Hopefully something will soon be revealed that shows exactly what happened. Even then, it won’t matter to some, but it will help.

I read this article and another one that someone linked in the comments and it really didn’t say anything at all.

I’ll be up front and say that I have very serious problems with camps like this in general. However, the accusations seem serious and it would have been helpful if the article actually detailed them. Instead it said:

As of Tuesday, officials had not released details about why they believe the children may have been in danger, how old they were, why they were at the Bible study camp, or if anyone was arrested.

The article itself had hyperlinks to what seemed to be unrelated abusers. I’m just more confused.

What happened? Were children harmed? Will the abusers, if they exist, be held to justice?

Again, I have serious issues with programs like these in general. I might argue that abuse is indeed happening, but not in the way this article implies. unfortunately, the abuse that I believe is certainly happening is not kind of thing that would prevail in court in a country that doesn’t seem to have a legal problem with things like conversion therapy.
