Well, crap, I’m not gay, but I’ll hold your hand. :) What do want? That’s the interesting thing about guns, there is such a VARIETY for different purposes. Self defense, home defense, small/medium/big game hunting are all completely different.
If I’m going to raise my Kinsey scale a point or two for just a moment, there’s also the aesthetic to consider. I’m not ashamed to admit I’ve bought a gun that made me go “Ooooohhh”.
For example, when my dad died one of the guns I inherited was this:
This is so real! I literally bought a knockoff ksg for $150 drink one night cause I was like “oooooo space scattergat!” I have shot it twice in two years, cause it weighs like 3 pounds and I can’t tell the difference between a cheap bird shot shell or a 3 inch magnum slug.
I’ll tell you what the guy that taught me used to say, " 22 or 50, no one laughs at being held at gunpoint. "
Stopping power is, for the most part a myth. I love 22 because if cheap, it’s light, and the guns feel nicer in my hand. My bud uses 9mm glocks because he describes them as the “iPhone of guns” you do you boo, just make sure your Deringer has a trigger guard, that’s just good safety.
Not only is 22lr weak compared to most other rounds, the fact that it is rimfire makes it less reliable. If you want a similar power to 22lr in a defense caliber, go with .25acp.
All true, but a .22 carbine rifle is way different from a 2 shot .22 Derringer with effectively no barrel and no sites with a bonus defect which may cause one of the two shots to misfire.
.410 handguns are tricky in a lot of states because they’re smoothbore, so they get classified as a short barreled shotgun and are considered illegal, the Bond Arms one above included.
Totally legal here, cross over into California? Yeah, not so much!
Remember gang, if your ID has an l, g, b, t, or q on it you qualify as desperately in need of guns.
I just wish I had a gay gun owning friend who could go to the gun store with me. I know what I want, I just like hand holding.
If you’re in the Kansas area, hit me up, I’ll go in drag if you ask nice lol
No need, seriously don’t buy at a gun store. Buy online and ship it to your big box store FFL, and then go pick up there.
Hmmm
Internet credit card purchase,
Or
Backwoods shack cash purchase.
Hmmm.
Shit, you can buy guns at gas stations in my neck of the woods.
I buy most of mine used locally via our state gun forum. Most states have one, just go on there look around, meet up, pay cash, show CCW and done.
I’ve yet to purchase a firearm that was “used up”. Most I buy people put a few hundred rounds through them at best.

In my area. Thanks!

And I’m like “Ok, that’s adorable, but in .22 it’s useless.” Also known to be problematic. Sometimes only one barrel would fire.
But I liked the idea so I bought one of these:

.45LC/.410 shotgun shells

Nothing wrong with the KSG, but for me? I dig the old school Mossberg Shockwave w/ wood furniture. ;)
You are practically down the street from me.
Well, come on over, we’ll hang out! :) If you’re looking for a safe gun shop I can reccomend two:

For .22? Give me this:

Of course, I already have the big brother in .44 Magnum. :)
I inherited a NAA-22lr. It literally fits in the palm of my hand.
They make a purple one now, which is cute: https://www.northamericanarms.com/shop/naa-22lr-orchid/
Even a .22 can kill someone.
Better to hit with .22 than miss with a .357. The US Special Forces have been using .22 LR Ruger pistols, with silencers, since the Vietnam War.
That’s really cool, but I have to admit I can’t immediately figure out how that trigger works…
I really like the idea of a 410 handgun, but I live in NY.

The gay gun, like a ray gun. I think they sell it at sharper image
