Nothing wrong with that TBH. Family friendly content absolutely has a place in the world.

The Simpsons has a really long history of addressing current politics. Nothing about that is in opposition to being family friendly.

Have you ever watched the Simpson before? They’ve addressed politics for decades.

They also used to employ good writers.

Wild to think Season 8 was the golden age when we’re at… Season 37. Jesus fucking Christ. Someone put this thing down already.

But anyway there’s definitely places you can find the episode:

I’m rewatching the whole series again and nearing the end, honestly I think it still holds up well now that the more recent seasons have embraced branching out in other directions.

In my opinion the show can be broken down into 3 eras, the classic era, the transition era, and the new era. Quality really tanks around season 11 (the first signs showing up in season 9. Honestly it blows my mind that The Principal and the Pauper and All Singing, All Dancing are in the same season as Lisa the Skeptic, Bart Carny and The Joy of Sect) and continued until the late teens though there were still some gems in there.

Overall, I’d say out of 36 seasons, only around 6 or 7 seasons worth were busts.

          Can’t disagree with Jack Burton.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I’m talkin’ to whoever’s listenin’ out there. Especially about The Simpsons.

Considering how long The Simpsons has been on, I’m surprised no one has rebooted the Flinstones animated series.

It could work if they made it a prehistoric version of Married with Children instead of The Honeymooners.

Change nothing else but the foundational reference material and let it (heh) evolve.

The graphic novel is pretty good.
