I’m wearing my beloved Rodina automatic, the first automatic wristwatch out of the USSR with 22 jewels and a bolt on automatic works using a ratchet mechanism allowing the weight to spin in both directions while charging the mainspring.

It isn’t the best time keeper as is with many mid range watches of the 1950s but it has character with its odd crab style case and military style dial. Mine has a cracked crystal which will be repaired in the coming months.

Look forward to seeing what the community has.

Came across this post and started researching Kronaby. It’s actually ridiculous that I’ve never bumped into them. Their watches look amazing! And they’re hybrid smart, many models have a sapphire crystal, this is a really fine brand going completely unnoticed by people like me. Is there anything not great about them though? The price tag is reasonable, I think, but if there’s something to look out for, please share

I was also able to snatch this apex with a 22% discount on a finnish watch site.

Everything works great for me atm, although bare in mind, I only use the stopwatch and timer as the main functionalities + the find my phone function on the lower button.

It seems the left subdial only allows either a day of week and a second timezone option, which saddened me a bit, but it’s understandable.

The Kronaby app works just fine, but I’m thinking on maybe trying to reverse engineer this watch to work on GadgetBridge for fun.

If you plan to purchase a Kronaby, then it can be worthwhile to check out their history. This brand started several years ago, but got bankrupt after some years, but fortunately the Festina group bought up this company. On the other side of the coin, the brand hasn’t really got improved over these past years, while some of the other Festina watches (Festina Connected lineup) uses the exact same Kronaby tech but those are not for cause those are divers. If you plan to buy a Kronaby, then be sure to buy the bluetooth 5 version of them (bt5 watches have a kr003.x tech inside them)

Also you can check out Sequent as well. They are doing a sorta similar watches as Kronaby.

      AMA btw :3
