$80 buys a considerable amount of tacos a month and streaming services haven’t earned the perceived value to eat into my taco funds.
Our household cut almost all of our paid streaming subscriptions (kept 1 niche service so I can watch pro paintball). Mostly due to the time sink, but the perpetual price increases, mind numbing ads, and fracturing of services cemented it.
Besides freeing up time for other things, we’ve been going to our local library more now. In addition to physical media, a lot of libraries will let you stream movies, music, and audiobooks via free services like Kanopy and Hoopla.
I know people who spend over $200. Not sure how this sounds like a good plan.
