It looks like the intersection of Lake Shore Drive monstrosity with Belmont Avenue
Well, shit, if this isn´t an illustration of how we’re fighting over crumbs. I bet that intersection would be a lot safer if they converted Lake Shore Drive into a pedestrian/bike trail, but I guess that’s outside the scope of an alderman’s ability.
I also kinda curious if scrambles are safe if drivers are unused to them, which might be a good argument to make it a city-wide push.
There is a trail parallel to it for most of its extension, Lakefront Trail, but I’m not a fan of the highway, so if it was up to me, I’d get rid of it, and reuse the area for a linear park with native plants and a train/tram/metro line instead. Right now it’s basically wasting one of the most beautiful views in the area
