The only good one I’ve seen so far is “The Wire”. Almost all the rest of it was not only less good but bad. I remember towards the beginning of this trend, everybody was watching “Lost”, 15 years later or so I watched the first episode. It was so intellectually indigent that I really can’t get why it had been such a success. I mean, it really sucks! Or the problem is me at parties, all that?
TV, like the internet, should have been a fantastic medium for learning things, for news or entertainment, but it’s been strictly controlled, placed under the stranglehold of the owner class as soon it realized its potential.
I’m curious as to what kind of TV series you would like to see, or imagine would or should exist in your ideal world where the industry hasn’t been tainted.

I mean it takes money to make TV series? I think there’s plenty of great modern TV series.
