I’m just looking at Germany as an example. I know it’s wishful thinking.
Some of us looked at Nazi Germany and said “that’s something that should never happen again”. Some looked at it and said “okay but how can we get away with it next time?”.
Meh, they killed a couple and many heads of departments were either flown to the US, given comfy retirements in Argentina or just straight up became NATO bosses, lol. Nah, the world is under the control of villains, and as long as those who could make a difference are amoral and self-centered to the point of sociopathy, nothing is gonna change. There’s no macro fix for this, only individual changes of mentality, IMO. But let’s be hopeful, who knows what tomorrow holds. 🫶

The Nazi leaders were mostly given cushy jobs in NATO or NASA, their crimes forgiven, and they died of old age.
