People are very stupid on average everywhere, certainly, but those who stand for nothing because their lives revolve around superficial stuff, consumerism and hedonism, will fall for anything. 🤷

“God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers?”
Honestly, expected. The Western painfully empty God-hole needs to be filled and hedonism and consumerism can only go so far. 🤷

YappyMonotheist@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do people really not care that we live in a society that favours assholes or are there so many more assholes than nice people that it's unstoppable?3·2 days agoWant? Some societies are unviable and actively create discord, death and misery in others who could be. It’s necessary for the world and the survival of the human race for some societies to rethink their entire “ideology” and attitudes.
YappyMonotheist@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do people really not care that we live in a society that favours assholes or are there so many more assholes than nice people that it's unstoppable?4·2 days agoSelfish, childish, propagandized and mostly unthinking and amoral people are big enough pluralities in certain societies and only an ideological awakening post societal collapse could help it, yes. I mean, if you live in the West for instance, what exactly is stopping you from just “focusing on yourself”, or pushing you to be prosocial and wise? 🤷
YappyMonotheist@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Question for women: Does the idea of a man wearing a crop top and skirt sound appealing to you?6·2 days agoIt’s a mixture of (probably well-meaning) performative morality (“don’t say that, everyone loves everyone and what they do. Please, my heart hurts!”) and wishful thinking/utter confusion. 🤷😅
YappyMonotheist@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Question for women: Does the idea of a man wearing a crop top and skirt sound appealing to you?2·2 days agoDid I put chains on him? A gun to his head for him to do my bidding? Also, that final statement seems like you’re the one “defining morality”!
YappyMonotheist@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Question for women: Does the idea of a man wearing a crop top and skirt sound appealing to you?3·3 days agoFair enough. Regardless, I’m sure you’ll find your cutie.
YappyMonotheist@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Question for women: Does the idea of a man wearing a crop top and skirt sound appealing to you?4·3 days agoWhich members of society overwhelmingly wear skirts and crop tops? Why do you think you’re asking this question?! 🙄 And the conversation is not about whether you can or cannot do it, but what that says about you as a self-proclaimed heterosexual man and whether women as a whole will view it and the attitudes and ideology behind it positively or negatively.
YappyMonotheist@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Question for women: Does the idea of a man wearing a crop top and skirt sound appealing to you?6·3 days agoEveryone wears “what they feel is cool”, wearing skirts and crop tops shows people you think that’s cool, and that informs people of who you are as a person to a certain degree (the kind of man who likes wearing skirts and crop tops).
YappyMonotheist@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Question for women: Does the idea of a man wearing a crop top and skirt sound appealing to you?4·3 days agoOf course you’re free, and no one is legally allowed to lock you up or restrict you in whatever way to stop you from wearing crop tops and skirts, lol, that’s not the conversation here. And I’d rather you said “it’s not immoral for me to dress like a girl” than going for the “I do what I want, you’re not my dad!” line, at least it shows more maturity.
YappyMonotheist@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Question for women: Does the idea of a man wearing a crop top and skirt sound appealing to you?11·3 days agoI assume the vast majority of women would think it’s a gigantic, flashing “red flag” (if you claim to be straight, at least), but in Western online spaces you’ll probably find a good amount of women that will find it hot or “progressive”.
YappyMonotheist@lemmy.worldto Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•A lot of people make the mistake of thinking they have real life plot armour4·3 days agoSome people are more reckless and others more fearful. Both can be productive, but it’s wiser (as it usually is), to pull yourself towards the middle.
YappyMonotheist@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why are some so-called “safe spaces” so toxic?2·3 days agoThey come from the “average man”, intellectually cowardly and living by inertia, and whose entire ideology was most likely fed to them by mass media and propaganda, IME. They’ve never thought independently about anything deep, and if they did at some point it brought nothing but frustration and further confusion to their lives so they’re triggered by anyone trying to have a thoughtful exploration as it might bring the house of cards that is their worldview down. As such, their gut reaction is to “shut it all down”, using whatever poor argument they have at hand to do so (because if they were wise enough to be honest about their reasons for being against this potentially productive convo, they wouldn’t react this way in the first place). 🤷
YappyMonotheist@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What do you think about the concept of lesser evil? (i.e. when faced with selecting from two immoral options, the less immoral one should be chosen.)6·4 days agoI mean, if you truly have no other choice, what else can you do? Can it even be considered evil at that point or just “still painful”? If I have to chop off my/someone’s gangrenous leg to ensure survival, is that evil or just, you know, not ideal? It’s important not to get too lost in semantics…
Paraphrasing, but:
