I don’t think rest of the world leaves packages on your front porch. You either receive it personally or go to the post office. Never understood why they just leave it out in the open in America.
Same in Germany, even in apartment complexes. Either they put it at your door or just put it right next the the fucking main door under the letterboxes. I had a delivery that got stolen because of it.
Nothing beats the one time where the Amazon driver just put everything for everyone at the main door. Outside. In the city.
I’m in Australia and they just leave it on the front doorstep. Luckily I’m always home so I can pick it up, but I’m surprised more packages don’t get stolen in general

Or sent to a parcel machine near a supermarket and to pick up your package you need a code you get with sms.
Where would you like them to leave it? You can always choose to send it to a locker if you want to go pick it up. This is such an odd compliant.
No they do the same in the UK now. They’re not really meant to, but they absolutely do. Package behind the bins or in the bins is very normal here

Amazon should take a clue from German DHL and give an incentive to hand the packages to the people.
