Iran had proven time and time again: they don’t need a nuke. They have established detterance in their own way.
The problem is, detterance only works when you’re dealing with rational actors.
These people are willing to let the world burn before they give up even a modicum of power. They can’t even allow their ego to be bruised in the slightest.
