    That’s pretty neat. If they can stimulate sleep, a lot of people wouldn’t depend on anticholinergics, possibly raising dementia risks. Plus I’m pretty sure no monkeys died in trials.

    The future of personal computing should look like a hippy, headband (interface), sunglasses (display), crystal around the neck (optical computer). I first came up with that idea 25+ years ago, shame we’ve progressed so little on it, but monetization and IP make everything so inefficient. Money and power of course want nothing you actually control in your possession though, of course.

      Optical computers were debunked a decade ago in an ieee article. Visible spectrum photons are 100 million times larger than electrons which means the transitors need to be gigantic. Even gamma rays are 1000 times bigger than electrons.
