Still there’s a difference between what Belarusian people think and the official communication. I don’t think most people are familiar with their politics so people here would believe the official communication out of respect.

Belarus does not claim to be a socialist state but it sometimes behaves like a socialist state. I don’t see any contradiction here. No matter how socialist Belarus behaves you can’t call Belarus a socialist state if they themselves deny it.
