You telling me those images of Trump swimming through flood waters to save people in a hurricane haven’t already swayed voters? Lol
Shitposter while I tend to two babies. Maybe when I have my life back, I’ll help us get a few more niche communities back?

Truth be told it’d be weird if that part said literally anything else. “Supporters say it’s over her potty training videos.”

Sure enough the vast majority are Republican shithole states, although Virginia and Arizona are a surprise.
It’s not that it’s immortal to want IDs for porn (although GOP generally is immortal), it’s just so… technologically stupid. The red states are stupid states.

Fuckin’ rad.
I was just a tiny bit too young to get into it properly, as my brother and I would turn off enemies and just explore the world in that game (I loved vents and secret door). Instead, I got heavily into its level maker.
I was 9. Lol

Wow. I see now why experts are saying that was written by Russia, at least in part. Especially the parts clearly steered by Russian propaganda like the Nazi thing. Also 50% to the US? That’s really, really stupid.

Nice, earlier this year I wanted to to likewise but with Professor Oak challenges, which is get every Pokemon as early in progression we possible. I did it on Blue but it was quite miserable grinding lvl 36 Blastoise fighting only lvl 6 stuff prior to the first badge.
Suffice to say I took a break after that, but I’ll hit Silver next. Fast forward on emulation was a godsend, as well as achievement tracking for keeping track of how many more I had to grab before the next badge (it got really weird because you can skip Lt Surge and just keep going without the HM lol)

Holy hell, your recommendation algorithm is all sorts of fucked. I tried to replicate it but just searching for “FOSS budgeting software comparison” it looks like there’s a few legit ones in the mix, but plenty of AI, too.
I’m not going to watch them to check though, since hitting one AI one will probably make them all AI, lol.

I agree we don’t know if they’re loss leaders yet. I will say that even if the hardware is priced at a loss, though, it’ll sell more Steam games. Ultimately I don’t know if it really matters.
Though yeah, people should get past headlines. Lol

Before the Internet got social media, we had the GameFAQs voting thing; you’d get head to head popularity contests of coolest characters. Cloud always won, but it was nice to check daily to see who was most popular.
I still use GameFAQs, though. Even after the buyout, the guides are important to those of us RetroAchevement-ing through some older titles.

Haha, your quote is almost the exact line I’ve read. HR email was literally saying how they should talk to them first and about them failing. Lol

I can’t speak to Rockstar directly but I do know some game companies send anti-union propaganda emails regularly. To take the next step and fire people is entirely believable given when I’ve seen HR push out.

Oh no, Trump’s gonna enact more tariffs in retribution isn’t he.

Mumble was… fine. My friends actually moved to Discord from Mumble for our MMO stuff but that was primarily because it was easier to invite randos to the chat. That quality makes it almost impossible to break away from atm.
I recall the latency being only a little worse than Discord, but I think that’s because a friend set up the server at his work as a side thing (he also hosted Minecraft and Terraria). It’s not too complex to setup, but your quality will depend a lot on the computer and network you’re running. At least, it did for us, back in the day.
We’ve thought about alternatives to Discord. Old names were Ventrilo and TeamSpeak but they’re just not very modern. Plus, now almost every chat app has voice, too. Just, for features, it’s hard to beat Discord at this… though I’m willing to read the other comments to get for ideas, too. Lol

Sounds like some Filipino style crackdown, which did actually eventually lead to ICC arrest. Trial pending, anyway.

Imagine if they went full exploitive and made the ice cream flavor but then added an Israel flavor in some twisted fair and balanced way to undercut Jerry’s wishes.

Oh, I tend to grab Zenni glasses every couple of years and saw that option. I opted against since I didn’t think they were much more than a gimmick, but also at time (and probably still is) they were not compatible with the kind that auto tint in the sun.
I’m also pretty sure if I do get tracked, they have my phone and my unique appearance. I’m not sure someone of my height and build is going to be able to Luigi someone.

No no, don’t recommend Linux to a Mac user. Suggest other kids toys, like an etch-a-sketch or something.

I don’t really know anyone afraid of transit crime here in LA, but the main deterrent is mostly how long it takes to get to places – which is ironic, given cars are the main reason our trains and busses are delayed (our trains cross busy intersections, which is insane).

Hi, LA native here, and I’ve driven around there before. That location, the industrial roads in south downtown, the type of people driving there at 6:30am, and this 45 year old guy who was probably just trying to get to work (likely biking out of necessity) makes none of this story a surprise. Even the lack of stopping isn’t a surprise as the two drivers were probably also hurrying to work, although imagine killing a guy and starting your work day anyway, yikes.
Search up 45th and Pacific, Vernon, to see how industrial that area is. There are a few places in LA that you can bike safely but this sure as hell ain’t one of them. That’s not to say I’m blaming the victim, of course, but that there’s a clear systemic problem if someone can’t get to work safely. Then again, anti-car folks probably already know that.
My two cents, don’t ignore the class issue. Biking infrastructure is only available in affluent communities yet many people bike to work because they can’t afford to own a car. And what little bike routes we do have (e.g. Ballona Trail), they’re riddled with drug users and homeless encampments (at least, in the morning, they get cleared out regularly).
Just work the mines a few more hours and earn those 15 minute time credits. Ain’t my fault Elonotron and his sex bots run on coal power.
