100% I first 🏴☠️my way through bg3, then was like “bruh I genuinely wanna get the achievements this is so good wtf” and ended up buyin*on steam, but even was still so over satisfied that I sprung for the deluxe upgrade

1·20 days agoPower is something i’m taking in to account, and thankfully isn’t too much to worry with around my area. Though I had received the server and i’ve now learned about SAS formfactors, so this one needs to go back since my drives are 3.5" and the proliant takes 2.5" and I didn’t see it on the ebay page. live and learn. back to drawing board of research.

1·22 days agoAh that is unfortunate. I appreciate the insight on it. I’ll just take it up to microcenter one of these days to recycle it.

1·22 days agoI’m also open to new network projects and have been considering getting a domain name to make the Minecraft server easier to learn to route to a name for my friends to link to.
Oooh I’ve been looking myself for a better launcher since Minecraft launcher I have to kill and restart once each time I wanna play it. Prism will def help then thank you much for this!

Technology@lemmy.world•Abu Dhabi royal family to take stake in TikTok US under Trump deal * It will become platform owned by different bastardsEnglish
6·1 month agoHaving been someone who was once fully invested in it all and now being here, they likely don’t care or don’t understand enough to care. It’s like when the Arabian billionaires purchased pokemon go from niantic. Most of the platforms gamers didn’t care then ( at least those I know who still play that is) since the digital doesn’t yield the physical difference people (surface level folks) thinks it makes.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•FFS Plex, the server is on my local networkEnglish
3·1 month agoI’d like to personally, however with my home environment being Apple TV device the plex application is fantastic. And sharing my libraries with other friends sharing back with me is pretty great. Does jellyfinn have that ability? I’ve seen about an app that’s supported but I’m not sure about it, the Apple TV app that is.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Welcome to !selfhosted@lemmy.world - What do you selfhost?English
1·1 month agoI’ve been getting deeper in to how this can go over the summer. I’ve done plex for a good few years at this point, but i’ve got this now: -Ubuntu bionic -Dockge (for easy rebooting when i’m just not feeling the CLI) -Arr stack -Gluetun (VPN for stack) -Firefox (LAN access only, no other access from gluetun) -Radarr -Sonarr -qbittorrent -prowlarr -Immich -Plex
A few I’ve tried but can’t get to work on docker-compose yet: -searxNG -Heimdall (just can’t get the graphs I wanna see for the systems processes) -homarr (not bad, just same as heimdall)
I wanted to cut over to proxmox from ubuntu just to have more server efficient since i’m not running ubuntu server. However I’m still fairly new to this and the cut over from docker desktop and docker run to docker-compose was a lot for a bit, so it’ll still be on the list, but probably when I upgrade this old cpu (i5 6500) to something newer since this is an old thinkcenter. I’m hella open to any suggestions anyone’s got
Congrats! That what I strive for

That’s really cool of docker to do
