  • In this specific case, I was more about, like… Fine dining. Seriously, who brings a toolwatch to a fancy restaurant?

For work? Sure, let me obnoxiously click that bezel to keep track of how much of my time you’re going to waste, and how much I am going to bill you for that.

As collections goes, there are several angles to that; yeah the Hydro is probably redundant, but remember when you bought it: it’s technically interesting, it sure is very loud, there are reasons you bought it. I for one enjoy the tech as the design driver, and some out there appeal to me more than brands or fashion: I have yet to add a power reserve or moonphase to my collection.

I mean, don’t tell me you haven’t got a Regulator?

  • Congrats as well. Beside for the “graal” achievement, also for going 35mm - I hate the current trend of humongous, train-station-sized clocks people are wearing. And yes, for perfect-pasta-cooking, bidirectional bezels are the best.

Not in the same bracket, but in the same style, I used to edc a Breitling Colt. These divers are solid watches, and unless you’re doing construction work, not much can kill them.

I’m doing a bit of construction work right now, so the old Casio Marlin is out, it’s Pepsi Time!

Don’t forget they need maintenance every 5 years or so, you’ll keep this thing forever.

And no, do not sell the Longines; first because obviously besides a Diver any decent human being needs a Pilot, and second (and serious), you will find the subdued, classy aesthetic to be what you need sometimes, rather than the flashy, bold Rolex.

Next you’ll need a chronometer of course.

    I love mine
