Hopefully https://libreboot.org/ will be able to provide us more options with their FOSS bios/UEFI.

Radeon rx6800

Replacing the GPU worked.

Bazzite had the same problem.

I dont have a monitor with DP, but I could look into trying a friends monitor. I’ve only been using HDMI and HDMi 2.1

Funny enough, but sadly, Windows was the only one that booted normally.

The problem started with Mesa… Amdgpu is having the same problem.

Cold booting does the same effect. Sometimes I’m able to bootup the driver. But after a reboot, the same problem always recurs.

Are you saying I can update the firmware inside the GPU? I’ve never heard of that. It’d a Gigabyte gpu.
And the mobo firmware fully updated. I’ve tried with both recent versions of the Asus b550m-plus bios firmware.

I’m having the same issue with booting an Fedora and Arch USB. I also have to set nomodeset

Both Mesa and Amdgpu-Pro fail

It did not work for me.

I can load arch by turning on nomodeset, then get the logs if that counts.

Fedora is causing the same problem now.
I just tried booting into Windows instead, and no problems.

Fedora is able to modprobe amdgpu, which my current installed Arch cannot.

linux-lts is causing the same problem for me. When booting I need to press e and add nomodeset at the end of boot loader.
sudo modprobe amdgpu modprobe: ERROR: could not insert ‘amdgpu’: Invalid argument
And the following is blank sudo ls /lib/firmware/amdgpu/ | grep navi21

Firefox based and Chromium addon to redirect YouTube and other links to privacy alternatives. Works for Firefox based browsers on Android too.

Uninstalling all desktop environments and KDE related stuff, then reinstalling kde-desktop and sddm worked.
It looks better and runs faster than it ever did before!
This comment means they’re facist to you? 😂
