Further, the Republicans just killed a rule that allows 30 senators to block all bills by challenging executive decisions. The Republicans killed the rule to roll back a Biden admin decision to allow California stricter emission standards. Every challenge requires a mandatory 10h of debate. There are about 100 years worth of Trump admin decisions Dems can challenge to block the upcoming budget bill.

Andor is a documentary about radicalization, resistance movements, and fascism set in the Star wars universe. It is VERY true to life and based on real revolutions.

The thing about genetics is you can make reasonable predictions about individuals if you have data on their relatives. Heck, you can reasonably make regional predictions with genetic data that will be fairly accurate.

The reason was simple. It’s information that once a private company gets a hold of it, they will use it to hurt you. Whether it’s a drug company that learns you’re predisposed to addiction, so better to give you it people around you nice temporary discounts on addictive meds, or an insurance company that learns you’re predisposed to cancer, so better to look for ways to deny or drop coverage.

Once these companies know a little bit about your nature, they’ll exploit any aspect possible to increase profits.

Harris had identical Gaza policies to Biden and the only reason to vote for her was the fact that there were some pro Palestinian Democrats. You vote for her not because she’s better in Gaza, but out of the hope that members of her caucus could moderate her position.

Israel started the genocide early after Oct 7, it’s not escalated. They’re already leveled over 80% of Gaza and destroyed every hospital and piece of infrastructure under Biden.

Not as bad as you might think. The nouveau drivers have come a long way for maxwell. You should give it a shot if you haven’t. But, unfortunately, if you are using anything new then nouveau sucks. It’s a fun game where you get to wait until nvidia no longer wants to support your GPU and hope by that point that nouveau has progressed far enough that you won’t be looking at noman’s land.

Graphics drivers are what matters. Your orange pi uses a mali GPU which is well supported by Linux (thanks ARM).

nVidia is just barely at the point where their most recent gpu drivers aren’t terrible under Wayland. It’s taken a while to get there.

GPUs with good open source drivers will fare fine.
