I have actually been looking at modding an NES with HDMI (and other goodies) as a small project. There are various kits out there.
Just because you can replace your phone from savings doesn’t mean it’s desirable to do so. The monthly payments for these plans are low, and they have saved me money with two full replacements over a period of about 5 years.
Folding phones are so expensive that I consider it mandatory to have insurance. Samsung Care Plus, in Samsung’s case. I switched to a pixel pro fold so I could use Graphene and got whatever googles insurance plan is.
Its completely true that not all use is because of being forced to use it though. Lots of people do love using these tools whether for their own amusement or because they find it useful whether we like it or not. He’s right.


My Index has never been reliable. Not the headset, nor the controllers. I have given up using it.

Linux itself is entirely “corporate-aligned.” It exists and is developed almost entirely by and for corporations.

I don’t use Signal to talk to people I know only pseudonymously through the internet. I use it to talk to people with whom I would already share my phone number. That social graph can be ascertained a thousand ways already. I think it is worth pointing out as you do, however. If I wanted to attempt to hide the fact that I was contacting someone from the state, I’m not sure where I would start, but it wouldn’t be Signal.


They haven’t really been a thing in either Metroid or Castlevania for a long time, interestingly.

You may not be, but many of us are. None of it is free, from development to hosting to administrating. That works okay for now, but might be a limiting factor.
