All Pixelfed content is discoverable and followable up on Mastodon and has the benefit of allowing more attachments per post than Mastodon. So I would think for OPs use case of pushing media-focused content, without really needing the account to consume other peoples’ content, Pixelfed is a decent choice.
I did look at GS connect since I’m using GNOME, but some of the user reviews are saying to doesn’t work with F43 yet. Also I’m not looking to have to install anything on new my phone for this, since the phone already has native tooling to do wireless file transfer.

6·2 months agoIt adds searchable metadata to a post. Like if you go in Netflix and search for an actor or browse a genre. So I can follow #rugby without having to follow every single person posting about rugby, and I will see all posts that have that tag. Then I can find individual people within that topic to follow and interact with directly.
