If you like to research the macabre, look up Elmer McCurdy, a veteran turned outlaw that was mummified and used as a side show prop for roughly 50 years. His remains weren’t burried until the 70s.

This is an edit of an edit. Here is a less cropped version from a tiktok that I’m pretty sure uses ai to swap faces. It has a volume button baked into the bottom right corner so its not using the original base image either. I could have sworn there was a version on reddit/imgur that was older but I can’t find it.

This is an ancient meme, the earliest extant mention was 23 July 2010, way before photo generation was viable. You can see remnants of the original facebook conversation here. TLDR: The original circumstances aren’t much different from the OP except he allegedly stole from his parents to buy said items and his mom made him hold the sign in front of his school.

Just needs a plaid shirt and a pair of khakis and you’re most of the way there.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•At what point does a person become an "adult"?English
2·19 days agoUntil relatively recently, in common law and some civil law countries you weren’t fully autonomous from your gaurdian until you turned 21. At which point you no longer needed a gaurdians approval to make some legally binding decisions. Some institutions (eg car rental & insurance companies) find 25 to be the cut off for risky behavior. However, these measures don’t capture emotional maturity as I’ve met people in their 50s that still act like teenagers.

7·20 days agoEvery homeschooled person I’ve met has lacked all tact but YMMV. I haven’t met anyone that was homschooled after leaving university so no clue if that improves over time.
Aside from the aforementioned risk of birth defects there are no ‘other problems’ other than being outside of social norms. It could be argued that the bans of these marriages in the US were motivated not by science but a desire to more quickly assimilate immigrants. Essentially boiling down to xenophobia if not racism.

Its real, poor guy. Second to last entry.

Was the skeleton disarticulated? If not then the rabbit most likely wasn’t killed by predetors or scavenged. If it was hunted you’d see bones scattered and quite a few missing. We have foxes, hawks, and coyotes in our area and every now and then we find bits and pieces of their leftovers in the yard and on the porch but never the whole thing.
Last time I saw yolo used was by crypto bros/wallstreetbet types making bad financial decisions.

2·1 month agoA college rendition of Ken Ludwig’s The Game’s Afoot. The first half was a little slow but the second half picked up considerably. Before that was A Lucky Stiff; it was quite silly but a fun watch.

Was he involved with Juicy Couture? You might be thinking of PINK which was a line through Victoria Secret.
