6 days agoExactly. Most of them are too poor to travel and the ones who aren’t would go on a cruise or something. Generally speaking. I couldn’t imagine one even going to Russia or Belarus. That would involve research, planning and other cultures.
Yeah. I dunno if it’s arrogance as much as it’s a culture bubble. In that particular case maybe. However, American culture feels omnipotent, especially in America. It’s much more difficult to get exposure to other cultures, art, movies, music etc. instead, it’s constant American pop music, Hollywood, Americanized versions of things. There are folks from other countries and cultural backgrounds, but they’re usually trying to fit in. Also, as an American traveling to other countries, there are tons of pieces of American culture. Can’t get away from Hollywood movies, American music, fast food chains, etc. Maybe that does embolden Americans to do things like that.
