Who am I kidding. They have no idea what unit testing is.

It’s funny how he’s been caught lying so many times on situations involving Epstein, yet he still expects people to believe he didn’t require girls trafficked by Epstein.
Nobody except a contingent of the most deluded rubes believes him. And rightly so. He’s a spineless, toady compulsive liar, with terrible judgment skills, no morals, and some creepy perversions.

Imagine leaving Texas because you think it’s too liberal.

Maybe it’s watched vs buffered?

A lot of the comments here seem to be missing some key points from this article:

Ah yes, the latest episode in the ongoing saga of "Putin fabricates bullshit to try to distract the Russian people from the misery and suffering he’s putting them through.

But… Microplastics are what brains crave! They’ve got electrolytes!

Citizens United strikes again.

A) because they have more money than they know what to do with it.
B) because they think that greasing his palms will help them schmooze and collude with even more ultra-wealthy people, and get them even more money and influence.

I don’t trust some of the numbers in this article.
Microsoft Teams: 100% CPU usage on 32GB machines
I’m literally sitting here right now on a Teams call (I’ve already contributed what I needed to), looking at my CPU usage, which is staying in the 4.6% to 7.3% CPU range.
Is that still too high? Probably. Have I seen it hit 100% CPU usage? Yes, rarely (but that’s usually a sign of a deeper issue).
Maybe the author is going with worst case scenario. But in that case he should probably qualify the examples more.

The world is collapsing under the weight of totalitarianism, climate change, pollution, escalating conflicts, terrorism, tariff battles, supply chain issues, job losses, diseases, and various other huge challenges. And this is the bullshit they are focusing on?!
Great job EU lawmakers! /s

From the article:
Police said they were dispatched on Oct. 2 at approximately 8:38 a.m. to assist EMS with an injured teenager in the area of Windhaven Gate and Windstone Road in southwest Airdrie.
Upon arrival, it was determined the teen had been crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a white Dodge Caravan, RCMP wrote in a release.
The 17-year-old sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Police said the driver fled the scene, driving eastbound toward 8 Street.
So it sounds like she got medical attention pretty quickly and her injuries were minor, thankfully. Which is pretty remarkable with how fast the driver was going and how she went flying. But good news for the poor kid. I hope she gets a follow-up though, because sometimes injuries from these things can take hours or days to manifest.
Like you, I hope they catch the driver and he gets his license revoked, and also some charges brought against him. His driving was irresponsible, and leaving the scene after hitting someone is a really shitty move.
I know others were positing that because there’s no audio maybe he was freaked out and upset that she got up and started walking away. But even in that situation who the fuck acts that way?! Maybe, just maybe… She was walking away to get out of the crosswalk and away from the lunatic who just ran her over. It sounds at least equally reasonable that as she is a teenager girl and got hit by an older male driver so he might fear for her safety and wanted to say least get clear of the vehicle and further danger.

Wouldn’t the Northeastern bloc already include New England?

Yup. That same guy.
What could possibly go doing! /s

Based on the latest South Park episodes, we all know why.

A lot of self-promotion quotes in there from companies involved in the H1B visa industry. But one broad trend among them: this will empower developing and non-Western developed nations at the expense of the American tech industry - especially the tech industry outside the big 5 or 6 giants.

I didn’t know about this before. But sadly I’m not surprised. And I won’t be surprised if it happens in other countries too. Especially the US. The corporate and political climate in most countries is ripe for exploitation by robber barons. Eroded safeguards and unbridled corporate greed are not a good combination for the average blue- or white-collar person trying to save for retirement.

It’s the same reason IBM still exists. Massive multinational / government contracts keep them alive and healthy.
Strong agree on the lack of punctuation.
Medium has become a bit of a cesspool for low-effort hot takes. Sometimes the articles make a great point but are not very well written (as is the case with this one). But more often than not they are a single, unfounded, absurd rage-bait argument that’s been spun out into an article with the help of AI.
