I never had a particular love of Microsoft at any point in my life but at least they had a diverse portfolio of various products from software to services to hardware of all sorts.

Now they have abandoned most of that (and continuing to abandon more with each month) as they pivot to being one of many AI-focused grift companies. They now sell bullshit, lies, fraud, and scams as their primary products.

Incredible transition into a poisoned, bloated, festering asswipe of a company that isn’t worth a moment of anyone’s time or respect.

1. People are not walking around with their phone cameras open 24/7 sending data straight to Meta’s servers at all times. This is not something phone cameras do.
2. Most schools already limit or ban phones in class and the punitive action varies.
3. Being recorded by a phone is far more obvious. Perv glasses are can record you without you even knowing.

Not surprising. The US is undergoing self-sabotage on an unprecedented scale.

Seems like this has a simple solution. Any student caught with these devices on school property is immediately expelled.

I’ve had a personal EA boycott going for over 10 year snow. One of the best decisions I’ve made and I’ve never regretted it once.

Ragebaiting is extremely powerful as an engagement tactic. I have seen so many instances of people fully admit that they know they are being ragebaited and still engage anyway because they feel they “must say something”.

It sounds simple, but being able to say “No, I’m not getting involved with this” is a very helpful skill to have when using the modern internet. Don’t let them drag you through the muck for clicks or views.

Yup. I haven’t used Spotify in years. I see these constant headlines and articles about Spotify doing stupid shit over and over and over again and wonder why people keep using that pile of trash when there are numerous better alternatives.

I’ve talked with Spotify users about the alternatives and how they are better and linked them to playlist transfer services so they can jump ship in as little as 15 minutes and they still refuse to do it. They’d rather keep using Spotify and constantly bitching about how terrible it is. They have effectively Stockholm syndrome’d their userbase at this point.

That may have been somewhat true in the past, but it is hard to articulate just how big of a hole they are in right now. The leveraged buyout has pushed EA’s debt to over $20Billion USD.

They make that money back or they might not, but they are going to absolutely pillage and destroy the company in the process. The word that often follows “leveraged buyout” is “bankruptcy”. It’s a tale as old as corporate history.

I can’t think of anything more American than weapon-carrying drones being deployed to combat armed attackers in schools.
