I lived there for 10 years and have a lot of fond memories of the place. It’s always had its problems, but it’s always been an amazing country in a lot of ways. But I got to see the Obama years and the growth of the tea party and this was always coming. I’m convinced that leaving when I did is the best decision I’ve ever made for myself and my family, and I really feel for all the people who are stuck there with this insane death cult.

I moved to the states in 2005, got married, had 2 daughters. Moved us all back to my home country in 2015. I often wondered if it was the right decision and what life would have been like if we’d stayed. I haven’t wondered even once since November last year.

100%. I’m an Australian, married to an American. Moved her here to Australia in 2015 and now she says she’ll never set foot in that country again, not even to visit her own family. Too much uncertainty that trump will throw a tantrum and she’ll get stuck there somehow.
