Funnily enough I have written a system to do exactly that as a bachelor’s theses for IT security.

Places client certificates and a client inside the initrd and requests securely the key to unlock.

The sever waits for you to approve the request before providing the key. The key is only held in memory during boot.

I had a version that included for a hidden key provider and planned for a version that included time based auto unlocks etc.

I was planning to package that and release it as open source.

Still might do that.

Why not expand the battery leads down the wall so you don’t have to climb?

Organic maps imports all business locations from google maps Afaik. Just import your own kml file to drop the pins. Even supports multiple different location markers. Live position tracking included and navigation if you ever want to return. No self hosting required at all.

It security engineer here: zero knowledge proofs are exactly that. Proof your age isg higher than X, but not even how much higher. They can’t even profile you based on that information as they can’t recognize you across visits.

Some government identity cards already support that. For everybody else there are companies that offer that service.

BTW I’m against age verification. We had access to porn at a certain age, I want my children to be able to look when that gets interesting to them. But then again I’m pretty progressive and open with sexuality in general and I take time out of my day to actually talk to my kids about dangers on the internet.

Use a knife and carefully scrape off what you can while cold. Heat to printing temp and wipe off what you can. Cool down and clean with acetone if need be. Edit: do this only with metal pieces. Disassemble head if need be.
