Medicare/Medicaid/SS cuts will have people rioting. They are playing with fire there.
Aside from that type of drastic event, I see discontent growing daily. People are fed up with the general unease and sense of unfairness in our system. It takes time for that anger to build but you don’t get 5 million people in the streets in every single state in the country when everyone is just sitting around taking their crap. I am hopeful that this growing movement will begin direct action such as general strikes, but that’s a ways off. For now we just need to keep showing up, and show everyone else that there are a LOT of us and we are PISSED and we’re not taking this laying down.
Because it’s wrong and evil to take advantage of other people?
There are a lot of us working to make sure they don’t get better and better days. And the pressure is growing from all sides. They can’t operate with impunity forever, and they have awoken a sleeping giant with all these service cuts that their base actually depends on (even though they were too stupid to know it).
We’ve got a ways to go yet but it’s certainly been set in motion.
The 5 million people protesting last week (including me) gives me hope. And I have had one friend tell me he wants to join me next time, and he’s the last person I would ever think would protest.
There’s momentum growing on the good side, too. Don’t give up hope yet.
And some people still think Bill Hicks was exaggerating.
If you work there, run away fast.
That’s a great idea and I may do the same, because I have the means. I won’t blame ANYONE that can’t because they are just struggling to get by, though. There’s going to be a lot of pain and a lot of people are going to have to go into survival mode. If they have to buy the cheapest shit at Walmart to get by, I won’t judge.
As an American I’m here for it and encourage it. These greedy evil fuckers need to be brought down and if we have to burn it all down so be it, so we can rebuild better. What we have now is clearly not functioning for anyone but the 1%.
Those stickers have no legal weight anyway, at least in the United States. The manufacturer has to prove that you damaged the device, whether the sticker is there or not. They can not refuse service just because a sticker is missing.

Why the hell do you have a Hot Topic gift card?
Correlation does not equal causation.
You have to be a little off to WANT to interact with ChatGPT that much in the first place.
When you switch and realize how much better it is than Windows, and you can rest easy knowing your own OS isn’t spying on you or stealing your data, it tends to make you a little bit of an evangelist.
Installing the popular Linux distros today is easier than Windows XP was, and it’s arguably easier than Windows 11. It definitely asks you less questions and doesn’t require you to change 30 different settings from the defaults.
Linux has come a long way from my first install of CentOS on a server in the mid 00’s. You had to be pretty dedicated to run linux successfully back then, but these days it’s cake.
Constant, unrelenting pressure via nonviolent protest is our best tool right now. If they fear they’ll lose the next election they will fall in line. We just need to put that fear in them.
