Another photo from the wonderful 20 minutes I spent with this Barred owlet last week. He somehow caught himself on the way down from one of his frequent falls. Here, he pauses to figure out his next move, which if I remember correctly was to eventually let go and fall to the ground again. But it was no worse the wear and after hopping around on the ground a few minutes, found yet another unsuitable tree to climb.
