    It is no longer about the taste difference. The companies review research, fund research and the undertake research to find the chemicals, sounds, smells, colours, food peice sizes and physical actions that trigger the biggest cognitive addictions. The most addictive foods have a special balance of these features.

      Bearing this in mind, you should know that sauces and flavorings are treated differently by the US FDA and allowed much higher amounts of restricted additives. removedtively this is because they are not supposed to be consumed in large amounts. In reality they are adding some pretty gross and nasty stuff.

        Ah yes, the old trick of recommended amounts versus actually taken amounts. similar to the prescribed opiate drugs policies.
