Oh yeah, you are right about that and it is also true for people in China and Cuba(I know some examples here too). For example, in China when the RedNote app become popular, there really was plenty of moment where the Chinese liberals met the Americans and understood that what their own gov’t told them about America was true. There was a very famous meme about that encounter.
