First Slayer album without Dave Lombardo (I don’t count the cover album) - also marks the change in direction for a lot of their sound. It definitely has some growing pains, like the bass heavy kicks on faster tracks. But over time these lesser-enjoyed songs kinda grow on you. For real, tell me the actual opening thrash riff at 1:31 doesn’t get the head banging. RIP Jeff Hanneman o7.

      I used to collect CDs as a teenager, and this was one of the last of Slayer’s discography I needed to get. Was disappointed back then when I finally got it lol.
