Wouldn’t it be better to stick with standard and not DST?
we got rid of it in the past and a surprising amount of people wanted it back immediately, ALLEGEDLY it curbs seasonal depression to a degree people can notice (apparently this may be a myth). but it also effects a hand full of industries it would cost some millions in terms of the economy, of course Trump gives zero shits about that he just cares if the chaos is either paid for in advance or something he can profit from, but there are reasons to keep daylight savings.
We tried permanent DST in the past, not permanent standard time.
We should move all time forward 6 hours and adopt Trump Saving Time, TST.
When it comes to Trump slapping his name on things, there is no bottom.
IIRC most Americans prefer daylight savings time to be year round over standard time.
