What he’s actually saying is, “I won’t spend the money to provide the level of service we have been up to this point.” Because there’s nothing Mamdani has done here that will cost jobs or slow delivery times - Jeff is the one cutting jobs and slowing delivery times. Maybe New Yorkers will just stop shopping Amazon when they downgrade their services, that wouldn’t be a bad thing.
NYC is so dense and populous, there would instantly be space in the market for someone else to offer same/next day delivery for most common items if Amazon decides to start killing off its golden geese like that (being America’s #1 source of shit ordered online is just one of them).
