It’s most likely not awesome nor drowning you in great riches, but you won’t starve and have a home. That’s what a society is, or at least should aspire to be. Help others.

Every so called first-world has at least some kind of social net. Unless you count the USA in, that’s a country of slaves and billionaires.
I find it a bit weird that you find it detestable if I had moral reservations about working at e.g. google or some other devil. That’s what morals are, you usually don’t sell them out for 1000 moneyz a month. Or else they were just nice-to-have-if-everything-else-is-sated. So basically a luxury and ultimately useless.

But still, even if I would have to struggle, I wouldn’t sell my soul for some bucks to an evil company. Probably prefer stealing or whatever over that.
